DTG PRINTING VS. SCREEN PRINTING
Direct to Garment, or DTG, is a newer method that uses a printer to apply the ink to the shirt, while Screen Printing is the more traditional technique that involves placing the ink onto the t-shirt fabric through a stencil.
DTG is a newer t-shirt printing method that’s gained a lot of popularity in recent years thanks to technological improvements. DTG printing creates a precisely printed design with a high level of detail, in as many colors as you'd like.
Screen printing will produce a vibrant design with more saturated colors than the DTG process. However, the labor-intensive process of turning your design into multiple stencils limits the number of colors you can use, and usually, you have a minimum of items made to make up for the cost. DTG printing produces a vibrant, durable design as well, with ink placed precisely where you want it, but with no limits on the number of colors you can use, and you there are no limits on items you want to make. With DTG, you can order as many or as few items as you'd like!
